United Way of Adams County kicks off its 2011-2012 Campaign on Saturday, September 24, with a Day of Caring. Volunteers will share their time and talents at local agencies, doing projects that nonprofit staff can never find the time or resources to do. More importantly, it gives our donors the opportunity to see firsthand the impact of their gifts to UWAC.

It finally hit my inbox last Thursday—it usually arrives in January. Regardless, it was not good news. UWAC received its October 2010-September 2011 federal allocation for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program.
