UNITED IS THE WAY TO FINANCIAL SECURITY FOR ADAMS COUNTY

When we talk about financial security for Adams County, our goal is that families are able to meet and exceed their basic needs. Our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, in collaboration with the Adams County Office for Aging (ACOFA) and Manos Unidas, provides free tax services for eligible families. Our VITA program processes over 1,000 tax returns and brings over $1.2 million in returns back into the local economy.

Our VITA program relies on volunteer tax preparers to provide service to our clients. Volunteers are given training by UWAC and are certified by the IRS. Beginners are welcome!

Our Give It Up for Good (GIUFG) sale, in partnership with Gettysburg College, gives new life to donations from college students and faculty. We rely on volunteers to help us sort, clean, and price donations each May.
